Well, I have been keeping up with the latest releases to build up my arsenal of tracks for the three mixes I have planned for May alone. My physical therapy on my shoulder is going great. I will be out of my sling in one more week, and I have enough strength and movement to begin mixing this week. I expect this to be an epic summer. As for what my future holds, I graduate May 10th and I think I will be sticking around for a Ph.D. This summer because I need to be doing rehab I don’t think I will be straying far from home so I will have time to get out a new Vocal mix and Grilled Sessions as well. Check back often, and I hope to get a mix out the door before May 7th.

Well, I was rooting through some old cds and I came across a promo mix that my brother got a mall by Mili Sefic. It is considerably different than what I mix now, and even what he does. He is purely a house and progressive house dj. Though, this cd still brings back some memories and was a springboard in a sense into the electronic dance music genre. I don’t know the titles for any of the tracks except the last one (Noémi – In My Dreams), but I do know the songs are from at the latest 2002. Songs are probably euro trance/dream trance, very clubby in a sense, at least for that time.

Expect a new mix in the next four weeks. I want to get out a new one before my shoulder surgery and then I can’t do mixing for a month or so.

Also, since I have a substantial amount of space, I will be uploading the RAW wave files for those who dont want it in mp3 compressed. These usually come in at 800mb. However, CUE sheets will be setup for use with MP3 so you will have to modify them accordinly.

I will be uploading the wave files I have for other mixes aswell.

I am pleased to announce that I finally got this mix completed that seems to have been in the works since probably this summer. I know I usually say this, but I would venture to say this is probably the best one I have ever done.

I am going to be updating the WordPress version soon in order to better handle spam. For the moment only registered users may post comments on posts. Because I made custom theme modifications the update to newer version will break certain aspects of the site.

Well, this has been a fantastic voyage. My buddy at leethosting.net is shutting down his service, and I was the last one on it, so I had to make a move. I first went to Dreamhost due to having had experiences with them in the past that was good. Everything was fine except the latency and download speeds, which were to be expected from shared hosting, I was just spoiled by my former host. Anyways, so I moved the site once again to MediaTemple, and so far I have enjoyed the speeds, from the school’s network I can do a stead 3mb/s!

Been a busy end of the semester but I had some time to work on some new stuff, and a new series which was brought on from a request by my brother. The theme is progressive house, series title: Grilled Sessions. Find it in the mixes section. I am hoping to put out two new trance mixes over my three week break and also get into producing, but that could be too much.

I am also going to be setting up a mailist so if you forget to visit the site you can be updated via email, probably quickest way to keep up to date with when I release mixes, since I haven’t been very productive lately.

Well, since school is interfering with my time to pump out this next trance mix, which is almost ready, I have a few mixes to hold you over. The first is we completed a new mix in the Global Excursion series. For those unaware, a collection of djs from the tranceaddict.com forums do a mix together with everyone contributing a track. The other is something I did for my brother. It isn’t complete, as I have one more CD I need to mix up, but it is titled Vegas Knights. For the dedicated Derek Sanders listener, the majority of the track you will notice are on other mixes I have done, but there are a few nice surprises, and the track lists are refreshing, especially Disc 1. So head on over to the mixes section and grab them. I also recommend any of the other Global Excursion cd’s, they’re a blast!

For those of you bothering me about when I will release a new vocal mix the time is soon. There has quite honestly been very little in quality productions with beautiful vocals and meaningful lyrics. I have been collecting since basically Volume 4 and things are looking good, though it will not be as fast paced as previous releases. I am also just about finished with the tracklist for the next trance set, but I am deciding how I want the end to be.
